Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ProFeed, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Service Description

ProFeed is a career documentation tool for web and mobile that helps professionals turn reflections into LinkedIn content and CVs. The service includes:

• Journal and voice capture
• AI-assisted drafting of LinkedIn posts and CVs
• Insights drawn from your own entries
• Flight Check, which reviews a draft for sensitive information and clarity before you use it
• Copying a finished draft for you to post on LinkedIn yourself

3. LinkedIn

ProFeed is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn, and it does not connect to your LinkedIn account.

• ProFeed has no ability to post, publish or act on LinkedIn for you
• The handoff is manual: you copy your finished draft, ProFeed opens LinkedIn, and you post it yourself
• You are responsible for making sure what you post complies with LinkedIn's own terms

4. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

5. Your Content

Regarding the content you create:

• You own your original content — voice notes, text entries, uploaded CVs and your edits
• You grant us a licence to process your content in order to provide the service
• That licence includes sending the content an action needs to our AI providers, and analysing a saved journal entry automatically. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly when this happens
• We don't claim ownership of your content or of AI-generated outputs
• You're responsible for ensuring your content doesn't infringe others' rights, and for not putting other people's private information into it

6. AI-Generated Content

Important disclaimers about AI-generated content:

• AI outputs are suggestions — you must review before using
• We don't guarantee accuracy, appropriateness, or quality of AI outputs
• You're solely responsible for content you post on LinkedIn or elsewhere
• AI may occasionally produce unexpected or inappropriate results
• Always review and edit AI-generated content before you post it

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Generate content that is defamatory, harassing, or harmful
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, copy, or scrape the service
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Violate LinkedIn's terms of service when using exported content

8. Beta Access

ProFeed is in external beta. That carries some specific consequences:

• The service is offered free of charge during the beta, and no purchase is required or possible
• Features may change, break or be withdrawn while we test them
• We may ask for feedback through beta check-ins; answering is optional
• Beta access may end when the beta does

9. Subscriptions and Billing

Some ProFeed features may require a subscription in future. No paid plan is active during the beta, so nothing in this section applies to you today. If you later sign up for a paid plan, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your subscription
• Allow automatic renewal and billing to your payment method
• Keep your billing information accurate and current
• Cancel your subscription if you no longer wish to be charged

10. Termination

Regarding account termination:

• You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings; this is immediate and cannot be undone
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, you lose access to the service and to the data held in your account
• We may retain certain data as required by law, and copies may persist in routine backups and logs until they age out
• Termination doesn't affect rights that accrued before termination

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. This is particularly relevant during the beta.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• This includes damages arising from use of AI-generated content
• Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. If you're in the EU, you may also have rights under your local consumer protection laws.

15. Changes to Terms

ProFeed is in beta and these terms will change as the product does. We update the date at the top when they do, and we'll notify you of significant changes by email or through the service.
